Celebrating Our Independence
American families have this upcoming weekend planned out! Years ago, John Adams predicted this powerful holiday for our country. He wrote to his wife days before our Declaration Of Independence was signed and said, “It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”
It is written that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776. Some historians have disputed this. However, Americans recognize July 4th as a National Holiday, and continue to make Adams prediction a tradition. All across America fireworks will be lighting up our night, our tables will be filled with food and decoration, and people will be dressed in Red, White, & Blue and laughing with friends and families. Our houses and cars will be flying our American Flag with pride. And Offutt Collision Repairwill be celebrating and helping honor our local soldiers and their families this weekend along with other local businesses.
For 3 years, Offutt Collision Repair has supported the Red, White, & Blue Fireworks celebration. Which is no surprise because our shop was named after Offutt AFB. We have supported our air base from when we first opened, and even chose to name our business after Offutt AFB. We continue our support for Offutt AFB with sponsorships such as our banner at the field house, donating to the Offutt Picnic, the Halloween Blast, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the father daughter dance.
Karissa Williams, our Marketing specialist, will be setting up a booth on Friday, July 1st, at the Base Lake. Her booth will consist of games and crafts for young children. So stop by and say hi and give your children the opportunity to win prizes!!
